Grab Wool and Hang On!

Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday evening performances will have 8 mutton busters per performance leave the chutes all at once.  The top two winners from each three performances will go through to the Finals on Sunday (six finalists).

Winners will be determined by the contestants that hang on the longest.

Since this event is extremely popular the SRRA has had to come up with some strict rules, due to the volume of calls received.

Mutton Bustin' Rules:

The entry fee for the contestant is $20.00 and includes one accompanying parent or guardian.  Other family members are required to purchase tickets in order to attend the rodeo.  The contestant’s names will be given to the ticket volunteers at the booths ahead of time and the accompanying parent or guardian will be given a wrist band.

  • One parent or guardian per contestant must supervise in the chute.
