SUNDRE RODEO ROYALTY

Miss Rodeo Sundre

Mackenzie Skeels

Hello everyone my name is Mackenzie Skeels and I am the 2019 Miss Rodeo Sundre. I am a fourth-generation farmer that grew up on ranch just outside of Rimbey called Anchor D Simmental’s with my family, where I have over 25 cows of my own.  I have been heavily involved in 4-H for 12 years and was selected to attend the 2018 Canadian Citizenship Congress through this incredible program. In addition, I have been involved with the Young Canadian Simmental Association (YCSA) on a provincial and national level.  Through the YCSA program I have won four national aggregate titles across Canada and completed in the American Junior Simmental shows in 2016 and 2018 as a Canadian representative.

By recently finalizing my Media Studies and Professional Communications Diploma, I am excited to use my skills that I have developed to further my passion of becoming a spokesperson for agriculture and the western way of life. By educating people on where their food comes from.

I have always been a super fan of Rodeo! I am excited to have the opportunity to be Miss Rodeo Sundre and becoming a part of this beautiful community. They have welcomed me with open arms and it has been the most incredible year representing the town, rodeo and many sponsors.
